What are Major Right works?

Major Right works are listed in article 8 of the SGAE's Articles of Association and include literary and dramatic works, musical dramas, choreographies and mime performances.

Furthermore, the same consideration of Major Right works is applied to musical works, with or without lyrics, including those specially composed for an audio-visual work, when performed in public as part of shows created for the stage, with respect to which they are inferred to form an integral part of such shows, or for the execution of the said works together with a storyline or a dramatic action. A Major Right work is treated as a Minor Right work when it is broadcast in part on television or radio. For instance, this is how a radio station's broadcast of a fragment of a play by Buero Vallejo would be processed.
