* All this documentation has to be sent by mail to
Documentación Obras: C/ Fernando VI, 4 - 28004 Madrid.
The maximum percentage that creators are able to assign to you as a music publisher cannot exceed 50% of their participation in the work.
If you register it ELECTRONICALLY:
If you prefer to register your works electronically, you only need to contact our Documentation Service so that they can inform you of the procedure to follow.
And do not forget that you can use the HEADERS SYSTEM for the declaration of pre-existing music in audio-visual works.
This tool makes it faster for you to submit your applications and to send cue-sheets from publishers to our entity. It consists in a database containing the general information about audio-visual works in which SGAE Publishers have an interest (i.e. those that include a musical work under their control).
Whenever a work generates rights and is not documented with our Society, the Audio-Visual Area consults the Headers database and if it locates the audio-visual for which documentation is missing on this database, it asks the publisher who submitted the information to provide the cue-sheet for the work (i.e. its musical programme). In this way, we receive the cue-sheet with enough time in hand to document it and make sure the rights generated are paid in the current share-out period.
You can apply to become a user of this Headers System by clicking here.
And do not forget that you can always contact the "SGAE responds section of our web site if you have any doubt or query.
